Week 11 Dev Log: Nov. 27 - Dec. 4


Dates: Nov. 27 - Dec. 4

Decisions:

  • Cinematics
    • Include pre-game / post-game scene
  • Add more particle effects (time permitting)
    • Stinky
    • Spawning items

Obstacles / Things to Consider:

  • Particle effects of highest importance
  • Redoing highlights feasible / reasonable?

Progress:

  • Spider crushing:
    • Added impactful sound effects (falling boot sound, better squish sound)
    • Death animation
  • Woody movement
    • Lower pitch jumping sound
    • Fix camera tracking on jump
    • Sprint controls / general movement displayed on quit puzzle end
      • Stop after reaching first desk
  • Fan
    • Enhance speed / animation
    • Extend particle effect across whole path
  • Bugs
    • Fixed shelf bug level 3 where player can knock it over
    • Fixed paper bug in level 2 which prevents player movement
  • Art Gallery
    • Implemented completely
  • Sound effects
    • Incorporated additional sounds
      • Spider alert
      • Spider walking
      • More “pencil-y clipboard” sounds
      • Shelf sound
      • Updated spider hit sound
